How do I submit?
It’s easy! There’s a handy-dandy little submit button on the right-hand side of the page. Or, you could just go here.
After that, all you have to do is upload your Robin, add the description that’s provided (and fill in the appropriate text), check the box next to “I agree to the Terms and Conditions” then hit submit!
If I send you what I want the meme to say, will you make it for me?
No, we will not.
Why do you describe the meme?
For a number of reasons, the main one being that there are visually impaired people. It allows them to use a page-reading program that reads the text out loud. Because these programs do not read text in pictures, we put it in the descriptions.
It has also been brought to our attention that some people utilize it on slow connections where the picture may have a hard time loading or may be sluggish. With the descriptions, they can just read those rather than waiting for a picture.
When will my meme be posted?
It really varies, now. Give it a week or two, though.
Why was my meme never posted?
It was either:
- Offensive: racial, classist, sexist, sometimes we get ones making fun of fat people or other countries, etc.
- A repost: most commonly “if it doesn’t scan it’s free” or “checking for counterfeit and they say they just made it this morning” or “do you work here, no I just wear this uniform for fun.” We tend to get those ones a lot.
- Blank: Sometimes people submit blank files? Not sure why.
- Improper usage of tags: They’re there for a reason, so please don’t add them all willy-nilly.
- B works at Lane Bryant, and is fairly new to the Robining scene.
- M currently doesn’t work in retail, but spent several years at retail jobs, including United Supermarkets, Wal-Mart, and World Market.
- G worked in a small-town grocery store for ~2 years but she quit for various reasons and is now working at her aunt’s motel part-time.
Feel free to suggest things to put in the FAQ! -G
