this is a pet peeve of mine…our express lane doesn’t have a set limit,we only call it express because it’s where we sell the lottery tickets, cigarettes,and money orders. but most people just figure when they have a cart load they shouldn’t come to express. unless it’s absolutely dead. yet I’ll get someone who comes up and is like “i have more than 10 items,is that ok?” and I’ll be like yeah its only like 15. then someone with a whole full cart will come to express and not even consider moving to one of the bigger registers or letting the person with one item behind them go first.
